Narita Bahra KC shortlisted in Diversity and Inclusion Awards
33 Chancery Lane is proud to announce that Narita Bahra KC has been shortlisted as a finalist for the Diversity and Inclusion Award at the LexisNexis Legal Awards 2026.
As the first woman of colour to be ranked as a Tier 1 Financial Crime Silk in the UK, ranked "simply elite" by Chambers & Partners, and the first female Sikh King's Counsel appointed in 2019, Narita has reached the pinnacle of the profession whilst championing meaningful change for those who follow.
Her nearly 30-year practice includes handling the UK's most significant financial crime and High-Profile Serious Crime matters, from the country's largest cryptocurrency seizure case exceeding £5 billion to complex cross-border cases involving clients from the UAE, China, and India.
As a Master of the Bench at Lincoln's Inn and co-author of leading practitioner texts, Narita combines her elite practice with commitment to transformation. She wears her background, faith, and culture with pride, demonstrating that success at the highest levels need not require compromising one's identity.
In her own words: "My vision is for a legal profession which is accessible to all. It is not enough to simply say that the legal profession prioritises diversity and inclusion. We must all play our part to ensure the legal profession meets that priority."
Congratulations, Narita.
