Nick James Successful in Appeal Against LIBOR Conviction
Nick James acted for Alex Pabon in the Court of Appeal last week when his conviction in the Libor proceedings was quashed following the Supreme Court’s decision in Hayes and Palombo.
Mr Pabon was convicted of conspiracy to defraud in 2016 and served a prison sentence. Ten years later, on a reference by the Criminal Cases Review Commission and with the SFO not opposing the appeal, the Court of Appeal found that his conviction was unsafe.
Nick was led by Tom Allen KC of Cloth Fair Chambers and instructed by John Milner of Constantine Law.
